However, at 11:10 a.m., tranquility ended when a call regarding a suspicious individual making threats against the school was received, leading to an immediate lockdown of the campus. As reported by the Mercury News, the specific nature of the threats remains unclear, and authorities have yet to determine whether there is a danger posed to the school.
The San Jose Police Department (SJPD) confirmed the developing situation by publicizing a tweet, announcing its presence at the school grounds, conducting an ongoing investigation into the threats. In a follow-up tweet, the department revealed its plan to actively coordinate with East Side Union High School District officials to relay crucial information to parents and neighboring areas.
