Solano Advocates for Victims of Violence (SAVV) and the Fairfield Police Department's Special Victims Unit (formerly the Family Violence Unit) are coming together on October 19 to host the Fourth Annual Shining the Light Event in Fairfield, California. As reported by the Fairfield Police Department, this event will celebrate the resilience of domestic violence survivors and raise awareness on the issue.
At this community event, dynamic survivors will recount their personal encounters with domestic violence.
The event will be held at Willow Hall, located at 1000 Kentucky Street, Fairfield, and will begin promptly at 5 p.m.
The night will culminate in an emotive lantern lighting ceremony and release, symbolizing the unwavering support survivors receive from their community and the courage they display in the face of adversity.
