In Petaluma, California, Valerie McCauley, a missing 64-year-old woman who remains at risk and suffering from cognitive issues, disappeared last Wednesday, leaving her loved ones, friends, and neighbors in a state of worry for her well-being. The Petaluma Police Department has called upon the public for their assistance in locating Ms. McCauley, whose cognitive challenges could cause her to become confused and disoriented.
According to the Petaluma Police Department's statement, Valerie was last seen wearing a blue and white checkered dress shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes, and a tan backpack. She had been walking in the 1400 block of Mountain View Avenue in Petaluma when she spoke of her intention to go to San Francisco, without specifying a particular destination.
Local law enforcement officials and community organizations have joined in what is now a collaborative effort to ensure her safe return. Social media campaigns have spread the word beyond local borders, reaching out to everyone in hopes that any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, might lead to Valerie's location.
As the pursuit for Valerie carries on, the Petaluma Police Department has urged anyone with any information to come forward and reach out to them at 707-778-4372.
