
Yesterday, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department revealed that two individuals were apprehended following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the Potrero, East County region. The warrant, tied to an assault with a deadly weapon investigation, yielded a significant cache of weapons and ammunition, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
While executing the warrant in the 25000 block of Potrero Valley Road, deputies from the Sheriff's Rural Command, Alpine Sheriff's Station, and Sheriff's Special Enforcement Detail (SED/SWAT), discovered over 50 firearms, including assault-style weapons, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Arrested suspects Richard Dale Fox (DOB 10/10/1972) and Christina Lee Griffin (DOB 08/30/1982) are facing a multitude of charges. Fox has charges of assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of firearms, and felon in possession of ammunition, and is now detained at the San Diego Central Jail. Griffin, who was charged with providing firearms to a prohibited person, was booked into the Las Colinas Detention Facility.
Investigations carry on in this case, the arrest of Fox and Griffin, along with their huge arsenal's confiscation, is a clear indication of safety measures' effectiveness.
