Additional amenities like an onsite laundry facility, community room and patio, limited parking, secure bike storage, an elevator, pet-friendly units, resident services, and an onsite Property Manager are offered as well.

Applicants to Poppy Place must meet income restrictions with provisions for households earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), the Alameda Post. A one-person household's 20% AMI limit is $20,720, while for a two-person household, it's $23,680. In contrast, the 60% AMI limit for a one-person household is $62,160, and $71,040 for a two-person household.

The Alameda Housing Authority's website emphasizes Poppy Place's location within walking distance of grocery stores, retail outlets, employers, and schools. Move-ins are expected to begin in January 2024. Applications can be submitted to the Alameda County Housing Portal during the application period.
