TD Garden officials inaugurated four new sensory rooms yesterday, October 4, marking the Boston-based arena the global lead for having the most such spaces. These rooms were established in collaboration with KultureCity, a nonprofit dedicated to aiding those with sensory needs, according to WCVB.

Open during the Bruins and Celtics seasons, the sensory rooms are designed for anyone with sensory needs, according to KultureCity Executive Director Uma Srivastava. The rooms thereby aim to make the game experience more accessible for fans, as reported by WHDH.

Providing a tranquil setting, the rooms feature gentle hues and calming substances, such as bubble walls and Yogibo bean bag chairs. TD Garden champions sensory inclusivity, being among the 67 New England venues to give sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones, fidget items, and alike indulgences to its sensory-needy patrons.

The arena President Amy Latimer clarified the rooms aren't exclusive to individuals with sensitivities caused by autism, PTSD, and other sensory processing disorders. But they also cater to families or adults to catch a breather from the game's intense sights and sounds, furthers WHDH.

Besides sensory rooms, TD Garden has initiated a "Sensory Bags" program at service zones. The bags are filled with items such as headphones and fidget spinners for guests who prefer not to distance from the game. This endeavor demonstrates TD Garden's dedication to providing a secure, inclusive space for all spectators.
