A moderate increase in temperatures is set to offer a respite from the persistent morning fogs in San Diego and Imperial Beach, currently reducing visibility to less than two miles until around 11 a.m.
With coastal areas expecting temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s, and inland regions in the mid to high 80s, residents can look forward to a comfortable variance typical for mid-October, as reported by ABC 10News.
However, things are not expected to stay cool for too long. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures may climb up to the mid 90s by midweek, particularly in inland areas. The hottest day is predicted to be Thursday, with some lower desert regions possibly seeing excesses of 100 degrees.
It will be quite warm during the days most of this week. It will mostly be in the 90s in the inland valleys and over 100 at times in the lower deserts. Hottest day will likely be Thursday, then a cooling trend begins Friday west of the mountains & Saturday in the deserts. #CAwx pic.twitter.com/annsvM53Um
