Pedro Antonio Tellez, the 29-year-old alias of Pedro Antonio Hernandez Llamas, got arrested yesterday, for felony charges of lewd acts on a minor under 14 years. As per a statement from the City of Glendale News, his arrest followed after two separate reports filed by parents on October 2, alleging inappropriate touching of their children at John Muir Elementary School in Glendale. Tellez's arraignment is scheduled for October 5 at the Glendale Superior Court.
Upon his arrest, Tellez was placed on administrative leave from his work for both the Glendale Unified School District and the City of Glendale. The authorities are now currently looking for additional victims or witnesses to similar incidents. The news release revealed preliminary investigations indicating potential numerous victims dating back to five years. Furthermore, the Glendale Unified School District offered its support in identifying other potential victims and witnesses.
In another statements issued by the City of Glendale News, they stated that Tellez has employed at the John Muir Elementary School since March 2023. Additionally, he also worked for the City of Glendale's One Glendale After School Youth Sports Program and Summer Day Camp Program part-time. The city expressed their commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, especially for children.
