Earlier today, a woman attempting to cross from Mexico into San Diego fell from a 30-foot border fence.
The Times of San Diego reports that the accident, which took place near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry amidst heavy fog, resulted in a severe leg injury.
Accompanied by another woman, both were detected by San Diego Border Patrol agents. Following the woman's fall, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department was dispatched, swiftly arriving at the scene.
While the injured woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, her companion was apprehended by Border Patrol, as reported by NBC San Diego.
