Yesterday, a serious motor vehicle accident occurred on MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne, Massachusetts, resulting in significant injuries to two individuals. The collision, involving multiple vehicles, happened near the Bourne landfill, as per the Bourne Police Department.
Investigation has thus far indicated a two-car collision which left the vehicles immobilized in the roadway. This led a third driver, a 21-year-old female from Centerville, to inadvertently strike two pedestrians who were already outside their cars due to the initial accident. The Bourne Police Department, alongside Cape Cod Law Enforcement Council's Crash Reconstruction Team, is still working to understand the full detail of events.
The Bourne Fire Department attended to the injured, quickly responding as ambulances sped to the scene. Both victims, aged 56 and 31, from Everett and Bourne respectively, were immediately taken to nearby hospitals to be treated for their serious but non-fatal injuries.
