Yesterday, a 52-year-old surfer suffered an injury at Linda Mar Beach from an as-yet-unidentified creature, possibly a shark.
As per a Facebook post of the Pacifica Police Department regarding the incident, the surfer himself was unable to definitively identify the creature that bit his lower leg. Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening.
While this incident might elicit fear, it shouldn't necessarily lead to knee-jerk conclusions. It's advised to take necessary precautions such as staying alert for shark-sighting alerts and being aware of lifeguard warnings.
