The seventh annual Kaleidoscope Art & Music Festival, a major event in the City of Palmdale, will unfold today until tomorrow, at the Palmdale Amphitheater. This year's highlights include the Antelope Valley's debut drone show, expected to raise the bar for nighttime entertainment, according to the press release

Kaleidoscope After Dark, taking place tonight from 5:30 to 9:30, features illuminated performances including the innovative drone show, and other acts like Light Beings and a glow-in-the-dark dance performance by iLuminate. Tickets cost $5 for adults and are free for children twelve and under with a ticket reservation. A special $10 tasting ticket is available for guests over twenty-one, which covers admission and four tastings.

Tomorrow, the festival rolls on from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a variety of live music acts. The primary Tapestry Stage will present performances of music from around the world, and local artists will take the stage to perform music recitals, vocal performances, and spoken word poetry on the Mosaic Stage.

Apart from live music and art demonstrations, the festival features free painting lessons and workshops aimed at both adults and children. There will be live mural and chalk art creation, and open-air and cellograff demonstrations. The ArtLight tent will showcase local emerging artists' work across various age categories.

The Kaleidoscope Market will enable patrons wanting a unique piece to browse works by professional artists and young creators. They can also find market fresh foods and crafts here. Locally brewed drinks, wines and food trucks will be on site to offer a taste of the region's culinary specialties.

Kaleidoscope also offers family-friendly activities and entertainment, with the Youth Inspiration area providing free activities to help parents and their children unlock their creativity. The organizers also encourage attendees to fill out the City's Public Art Survey and visit various community partner booths for additional free items and valuable information.
