
On Monday, October 23, in the area of West Hammond Street in Pasadena, California, local law enforcement responded to a gunshot incident. The Pasadena Police Department was alerted via ShotSpotter gunshot detection technology and multiple calls to the station. Upon arrival at the scene, at an apartment complex, officers found a critically wounded adult male who sadly later died in the hospital, according to a news release from their Facebook page.
A deadly sorry it was that a second individual, a juvenile male, was also involved in the incident. This victim managed to to reach a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Pasadena resident Cecilio Hernandez Ramirez Jr. His death puts into question the motive of the shooting, a mystery still under investigation.
The Pasadena Police Department's Robbery/Homicide Unit (RHU) continues to dig into this case. While the motive for the shooting remains uncertain, investigators tirelessly gather evidence and sift through the details in order to bring the culprits to justice and understand the violence at hand.
