Earlier today, a shooting occurred at the intersection of Maple and Sargeant Streets in Holyoke. Receiving numerous 911 calls and real-time ShotSpotter notifications, the Holyoke Police quickly arrived at the scene.
As stated by the Holyoke Police Department, an ongoing investigation is underway, and residents are advised to avoid the area.
Though the reasons for this specific shooting aren’t yet determined, gun violence's persisting crisis in the United States is evident.
