The current Powerball jackpot valued at $1.73 billion remains unclaimed, while five Massachusetts residents have won $50,000 each, rekindling hope among the state's lottery participants.

As stated by NBC Boston, the tickets were bought at Black Duck Market & Deli in Newburyport, Berkley Farms Liquors in Berkley, Save More Gas & Convenience in Raynham, 7-Eleven in Charlestown, and North River Beverage in Marshfield. The last jackpot winner was on July 19, and the streak of 35 successive drawings without a jackpot champion is close to the record of 41 draws from 2021 and 2022.

The numbers 16, 34, 46, 55, 67, and the Powerball of 14 with a 3x Power Play, were the winning numbers for the Monday evening drawing. According to Boston 25 News, the biggest prize to ever be won was a $2.04 billion Powerball won by a player in California in November 2022.

Winners of the current $1.73 billion jackpot could opt for an annuity paid over 30 years, or a lump sum of around $756.6 million. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., Powerball drawings take place in Tallahassee, Florida. The Powerball lottery is available in 45 states around the U.S., Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
