On October 12, William Scott, a known repeat offender, 44, was apprehended by teams from the Springfield Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, Hampden County Sheriff's Department, and the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force at Nathan Bill Park in Springfield. He was arrested four months post his release from federal prison, where he had served time for firearm violations.
Springfield Police Department reports indicate that Scott resumed criminal activities within a week of his release, leading to his arrest for possession of a loaded firearm, drugs, ammunition, counterfeit identification, and cash.
Subsequently, Scott faces a plethora of charges, including unlicensed firearm possession, firearm and drug trafficking violations, assault, and battery.
