A 59-year-old woman was arrested on October 19 in South San Francisco, relating to allegations of pimping and pandering. The successful operation highlights the continuous efforts to combat human trafficking and the sex trade, per the South San Francisco Police Department.
The swiftly initiated investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Unit Detectives followed a tip suggesting the presence of an active brothel on the 400 block of Cypress Avenue. The search warrant execution led not only to the arrest but the discovery of two potential victims, two sex clients, a significant amount of money, and subsequent evidence.
The San Mateo County's Human Trafficking Program Coordinator was engaged to provide services for those involved.
