A female victim evaded an attempted robbery in the parking lot of a pharmacy at 2605 Middlefield Road, Tuesday morning. The suspect, still at large, fled after the unsuccessful attempt to snatch the woman's purse. Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured.

The police department received, a call from the victim around 11:00 am reporting the incident. According to her account, a male on a skateboard approached from behind and attempted to grab her purse. Quick thinking allowed the woman to pull away and continue unharmed.

Described is, the suspect as a Hispanic male in his twenties or thirties, thin, and outfitted in a dark hooded sweatshirt. An image from a surveillance camera that captured the suspect entering a nearby store has been attached to the police release.

Police investigating the case have identified similarities between this recent incident and an attempted robbery on the 2800 block of Middlefield Road on October 9th. It's believed that the same man may have been involved in the both incidents.
