
Yesterday, an assault in Perris, Riverside County led to the arrest of three individuals. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department press release, identified were the suspects as 23-year-old Rony Alastaiy Sagastume, 21-year-old Rony Jose Sagastume, and 18-year-old Santiago Fregoso, all natives of Perris.
The victim sustained head injuries due to being assaulted with brass knuckles. The quick actions of the Perris Sheriff’s Station deputies resulted in the tracking down and eventual arrest of the suspects.
The investigation led to Rony Jose Sagastume's capture after a brief foot chase, thanks to a combined effort of the Perris deputies and Sheriff’s K-9 units. Santiago Fregoso was arrested while Rony Alastaiy Sagastume locked himself inside the residence. A search warrant finally secured his arrest.
Charges of assault with a deadly weapon were leveled against all three men who were then taken to the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
