Yesterday, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety reported a violent incident on the 1700 block of Karameos Dr., where two adult females were found with gunshot wounds in a vehicle at around 5:28 a.m. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, with the other being transported to a local hospital.
Sunnyvale Public Safety Officers tracked down the suspect vehicle, attempting an enforcement stop. Despite losing sight of the vehicle during the chase, the suspect was found deceased in Cupertino from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at around 6:18 a.m.
The suspect's connection to the victims was quickly deduced by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. Their preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect and victims were known to each other. The residents were reassured there were no additional suspects, and public safety was not under threat.
