An attempted robbery was reported at Byxbee Park, Palo Alto, after park closing hours on Monday night. According to the Palo Alto Police Department news release, the victim, a man in his thirties, escaped without injury as two unidentified suspects fled the scene.
Byxbee Park, situated at 2375 Embarcadero Road, is a preferred destination for nature lovers and hikers. It operates from 8 a.m. to sunset daily, however, the attempted crime was committed after operating hours. The suspects are described as Black males wearing dark clothing.
A potential witness who was unarmed at the location was identified. The suspects fled upon noticing a person with a light approaching. This individual’s identity is not known, though they could potentially provide valuable information for the police investigation.
