On Wednesday afternoon, at exactly 12:35 p.m., Austin Police Department responded to reports of a gunshot near the intersection of Deer Run Dive and Blue Dawn Trail at 12:35 p.m. as reported by CBS Austin.
Police said two juveniles, a male and a female, whose identities remained under wraps due to their minor status, were involved.
The male was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead at 1:31 p.m. The female involved in the incident was found uninjured and remained at the scene, tangled in the aftermath of the shooting.
Reassuring the public, the APD has indicated there is no longer a threat looming over the community as reported by a Tweet from the Austin Police.
APD is investigating a homicide near the area of Deer Run Dr & Blue Dawn Trl. PIO4 will be enroute and will update with a media briefing time and staging location.
