
As we approach Thanksgiving, bars across Austin announce their plans to open on the 23rd, for locals and visitors alike. Eater Austin reports that 13 bars will be extending their hours, with a variety of activities and specials on offer.
Armadillo Den in Far South Austin will open its mostly-patio bar from 6 p.m. to midnight on the holiday. Barfly's, a North Loop dive bar, plans to welcome patrons on all holidays, including Thanksgiving. A downtown pub, Cedar Door, promises to quickly open from 3 p.m. to midnight, offering themed drinks, board games, and football. Cedar Door is also encouraging donations to the Central Texas Food Bank. Patrons donating canned food items will receive a dollar off their drinks as noted by Eater Austin.
