Earlier today, a large fire engulfed two-story townhouses in Sun Valley, California, originating from a garage and quickly spreading to the second floor. The incident posed significant danger to neighboring properties. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Alert, the fire took place at 11104 W Arminta St and extended its reach to the neighboring units, presenting a threat to a nearby four-story apartment building.
The fire was successfully battled and extinguished by 106 LAFD firefighters, who rapidly achieved knockdown in 39 minutes to contain and control the flames. However, while in action, one firefighter succumbed to exhaustion, as reported in another LAFD Alert. He was immediately transported for a hospital evaluation and was later reported in good condition.
