On November 7, California law enforcement launched a coordinated operation against organized retail theft, culminating in the recovery of over $350,000 worth of stolen goods.

In contributing to this achievement, the California Highway Patrol's (CHP) Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF), Valley Division Investigative Services Unit (ISU), and Concord Police Department combined their expertise. Undertaking similar operations previously, these groups have targeted illegal trading activities and storage of stolen items. An operation in Oakland led to the arrests of the main suspects and further discovery of a stash of stolen items in a rented facility, illustrating the extent of these operations, as reported by the Concord Police Department.

The culprits encountered a variety of charges including Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Conspiracy to Commit Crime. Beyond the recovered merchandise, two loaded firearms were discovered, alongside $17,344 in ill-gotten cash.

Thanks to retail personnel, in Galt, investigators successfully located and seized two vehicles loaded with stolen merchandise.
