Construction work in Concord is scheduled on Meadow Lane/Market Street, City Project No. 2582. Starting today, roadwork has begun on Market Street between Willow Pass Road and Belmont Road, compelling nighttime drivers to choose alternative routes, as advised by the City of Concord.
With construction scheduled from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., the project aims to minimize daily disruptions. The project, which is set to last roughly seven days, will affect Market Street's intersection with Clayton Road. That includes the closure of State Route 242 ramps for renewal.
For those concerned about their travel routes during the construction period, the City of Concord has suggested some alternatives. While the State Route 242 ramps are closed, the Grant Street ramp could be used to exit the northbound SR 242, and the Concord Avenue ramps can be applied to access SR 242, according to the City of Concord. As the project unfolds, the City's website will provide regular updates, ensuring transparent and efficient communication with residents.
