On Sunday, around 8:15 PM, Hercules officers received a call about a suspicious Toyota Highlander parked outside Chase Bank at 4080 San Pablo Ave.
The dispensary owner had observed the Highlander, connecting it to a recent robbery in Modesto, where her delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint. The driver had identified the Toyota as the suspect's vehicle. Acting on the tip, police detained both the driver and passenger of the Highlander per the Hercules Police Department report.
Searching the vehicle, police discovered stolen cannabis containers, a hijacked tracking device, a ski mask, a knife, and a stolen Sig Sauer P365 semiautomatic pistol, linked back to Mississippi. These findings were critical in confirming the Highlander's role in the Modesto robbery.
The police quickly established that the evidence from the vehicle corresponded with the details of the robbery. The two individuals in the Toyota were identified as the perpetrators and arrested, facing the consequences of their actions.
