
On Monday, Dallas resident Randy Hordge received a 15-year sentence in federal prison for gunpoint carjacking. Hordge pleaded guilty in January 2023 to the crime committed in October 2020.
Leigha Simonton, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas declared the sentencing proof of the government's resolve to curb violent crimes.
Hordge's involvement in two separate armed carjackings on the same day, with the second victim forcibly driven away by Hordge before being allowed to escape per the Department of Justice.
