In the streets of Dallas, in an incident that occurred in the early hours of Friday, 31-year-old Jose Antonio Herrera-Hernandez's life was abruptly ended as he was struck by a vehicle while walking along the 3800 block of Samuell Boulevard as Dallas Police scrambled to piece together the fragments left behind by a perpetrator on the loose.

Responding to the discovery made at approximately 4:30 a.m., authorities declared Herrera-Hernandez dead at the scene. The driver continued eastbound on the boulevard without a pause to render aid or confront the dire consequences of their actions. As of now, there is no suspect or vehicle information available to narrow the search.

In a public plea, the Dallas Police Department has turned to the eyes and ears of the community, seeking leads that might illuminate the suspect's identity. "Anyone with information to identify the driver and/or the suspect vehicle, please contact Detective Land with the Vehicle Crimes Unit," DPD's online bulletin reads.
