Early on October 29, a shooting occurred at a house party in El Cajon, resulting in the tragic deaths of two young individuals. 21-year-old Bruce Luu and 24-year-old Dan Nalab are purported to have been involved in this violent event for undisclosed reasons.
As documented by the El Cajon Police Department, two victims, a 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, were discovered critically injured at the scene. Despite immediate medical assistance, both teenagers passed away. The police department is withholding the identities of the deceased, respecting the families' wishes.

Investigating the incident, local law enforcement used the Flock Safety automatic license plate reader system. As a result, detectives were able to, quickly identify the accused parties and the vehicle used to flee the scene. Dan Nalab was arrested on unrelated firearm charges by the Chula Vista Police Department last Saturday.
A couple of days later, Bruce Luu was apprehended in San Diego, thanks to a collaborative effort involving the El Cajon Police officers, the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, and the East County Regional Gang Task Force. Warrants to the homes of both suspects were promptly executed. Currently, they are incarcerated without bail, facing first-degree murder charges at the San Diego County Central Jail.
