
David Ross Guerrero, a former teacher and assistant girls' soccer coach at San Marcos High School, was found guilty on three counts of child sexual assault according to Hays County.
Reports of the incidents surfaced in 2018, when a female alleged these offenses occurred back in 2009 while Guerrero was teaching at the school. Following an investigation, San Marcos Police Department suspected more potential victims from the 2008-2013 period.
Throughout investigation, Detectives Casey Tennant and Robert Elrod were able to collect testimonies from three more former students.
Guerrero has been sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison followed by ten years' probation.
