Roughly at 6 a.m., the collision transpired at the junction of Highway 71 and Highway 183 as stated in a later report by KVUE. All drivers heading east were guided to Highway 183, with others choosing alternate routes such as Burleson Road to FM 973, then back to Highway 71 for accessing the airport.
Matching these reports, Austin-Travis County EMS affirmed the fatal crash and announced the one adult patient was declared deceased at the scene.
