A tragedy struck Arlington as a fatal encounter between a Volkswagen and a Silverado claimed a life at a bustling intersection, authorities stated. The convergence of these vehicles occurred on Saturday night, just moments before the clock struck 10, at the crossroads of South Collins Street and North Webb Ferrell Road, as per WFAA.
According to the details pieced together by the Arlington police, the Volkswagen was traveling eastward on North Webb Ferrell Road while the Silverado was simultaneously steering south on South Collins Street, and in a twist of fate, neither ceased at the intersection, hence the catastrophic incident. The driver of the Volkswagen suffered the most grievous toll, handed over to the night, and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the local hospital, according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
While the driver of the Silverado emerged unscathed, alongside a passenger from the Volkswagen, the roads bore the mark of something irrevocable. Names are yet withheld, ensconced in respect for private grief, until the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office can tender the news to anxiously awaiting families of the departed.
