The Riverside University Health System Foundation's Festival of Trees is set to take place at the Riverside Convention Center on the 24th and 25th, coinciding with the ongoing Holiday Fair. The event not only marks the festive season but also aids in raising funds and awareness for prevalent health issues within the locale.

The Riverside County News Release indicates that the funds raised by the Festival of Trees specifically support the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (ICU) at the RUHS Medical Center and the Child Abuse and Neglect Unit. Dedicated volunteers such as Tammie Blackmore, a tree decorator, and various individuals and local businesses design themed trees for display throughout December.

The event continues evolution, with newer elements being added over the years. Sandy Ramirez, a volunteer, commented that each year brings fresh surprises and delight. The event is expected draw more than 10,000 visitors, leading Corinne Awad, the Director of Development for RUHS Foundation, to liken it to a festive season kick-off.

Along with the display of ornamented trees, the Holiday Fair provides attendees with a range of activities and experiences features family-friendly fun, a holiday marketplace, live performances and, also, Santa Claus meetings. This multi-dimensional focus reflects the event's broader objective, unity and giving, within the Riverside community.

The Festival of Trees, by combining arts, culture, and philanthropy enriches the lives of its participants and beneficiaries and signifies the value of communal participation in shared causes. Tammie Blackmore described the dedication and time spent by volunteers to create beautiful tree displays as a "labor of love".

Doors for the Festival of Trees will be opened on Friday and Saturday, November 24 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m at the Riverside Convention Centre. Further information can be found on the RUHS Foundation's website at ruhsfoundation.org.
