Yesterday, in a quiet New Hampshire neighborhood, there was a devastating discovery at a Goffstown residence where a woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Details of her death, such as when and how she died, have been kept under wraps, though the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office has stated that the public is not at risk, as reported by NBC Boston.
Goffstown Police converged on the scene after a disturbing call on Joffre Street, with neighbors reporting a sudden influx of law enforcement that transformed the usually tranquil street into a heavy police zone. "They had guns drawn," neighbor Michelle Toto recalled in an interview obtained by NBC Boston, adding a chilling account of officers commanding someone to "Come work on him," suggesting another individual was found, possibly with stab wounds and rushed to the hospital. Police have not confirmed that person's identity.
The grisly scene, now confirmed as a homicide by the attorney general's office, caused nearby Bartlett Elementary School to be briefly placed into lockdown, according to a statement given to WMUR.
