This Saturday, H-E-B is rolling out its holiday spirit along with 20,000 meals in a massive drive-thru event outside NRG Stadium as part of its annual Feast of Sharing campaign. The retail giant is setting up camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Yellow Lot, ready to serve up a taste of Texas with hot brisket BBQ meals.
According to Houston Chronicle, the company's statement details that along with mouth-watering meals, the event will boast music, family fun activities, and a slew of free services, including health and wellness screenings and flu shots. It's a one-stop shop for festive sustenance and a health check-up, in a day-long tribute to the holiday season.
The Feast of Sharing initiative traces its roots back to 1989, and since then, H-E-B has reportedly ladled out over 340,000 meals across Texas and Mexico, according to the KHOU report. Each vehicle will also be gifted a box of non-perishable holiday items to help the festive cheer stretch a little further into the season.
It's first come, first served at 9051 S. Main Street.
