Today a Hillsborough, California resident halted a potential home invasion by confronting three burglars. This event led to an active investigation by the Hillsborough Police Department (HPD) who are working alongside other local law enforcement agencies to track down the involved offenders. The HPD’s community information release acknowledges the immediate response and mutual aid from the San Mateo and Burlingame Police Departments which has accelerated progress in the case.
A 9-1-1 call from the resident brought the officers who established a perimeter and initiated a comprehensive search within two minutes. During the extensive search officers used a drone.
