In a spirited partnership aimed at supporting families on the move-up, Child Care Associates is hitching its wagon to the City's efforts to plant a new childcare facility in the Las Vegas Trail neighborhood. The City Council gave the thumbs-up Tuesday for CCA to break ground and guide the reins at the new Child Care Studio at LVT, promising to tear down barriers and build up futures at 8201 Calmont Ave., right next door to the Rise Community Center, according to the City of Fort Worth.
The collaboration packs a mighty punch because the Tarrant County largesse granted the City a cool $2.75 million in federal dough to hammer out construction costs. But there's a catch: to bag the cash, you've got to pal up with an Early Head Start provider known for keeping the cradle rocking, and that's where Child Care Associates steps in the dance.
Mayor Betsy Price, wearing the mantle of community champion, witnessed this milestone. In declarations echoed through city halls, Mayor Price hailed it as a game-changer. "Our partnership with Child Care Associates is key in driving our commitment to the well-being of the youngest members of the Las Vegas Trail community," Mayor Price told the city assembly, eyes alight with visions of children gleaning the fruits of early education, per the City of Fort Worth.
Child Care Associates can now erect a modular building on the site leased by the City, turning a slice of Calmont Avenue into a nexus of nurture and neuron development. Parents walking along the Las Vegas Trail can soon peek through the windows of opportunity, seeing their kids engaged in the art of growth and learning, courtesy of a partnership that's planting seeds today for the Las Vegas Trail's forest of tomorrow.
