A Lewisville, Texas tenant was discovered shot dead behind his landlord's home. The currently unidentified perpetrator's actions now have the police on a manhunt.

The journey to this grim discovery began on November 4, when a concerned civilian reported an abandoned car to the Glenn Heights police. Officers from the Lewisville Police Department, as per the NBC DFW report, confirmed the car's ignition had been tampered with and the car was stolen.

The owner of this car was later identified as a resident from the 800 block of Harbor Drive in Lewisville.

The Lewisville police, seeking to establish contact with the owner, only managed to converse with his wife.

She identified the car as her husband's vehicle and voiced concern over being unable to contact him. Upon revisiting the house on Sunday, following the wife's continued inability to reach her husband, police discovered a horrifying scene.

According to a Ground News report, the Harbor Drive residence owners had rented a number of rooms. The husband was evicting a tenant, Marco Polo Hernandez-Meija, due to overdue rent since November 4. The property's investigation led to the discovery of Hernandez-Meija's body in the backyard, the result of multiple gunshot injuries, by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Lewisville Police Department continues its intensive manhunt.
