Los Angeles County will host a Veterans Day celebration at the historic Patriotic Hall on November 11. The event, named "VETDAYLA'23," offers a range of activities emphasizing not only recognition but also the support of veterans, as per the County of Los Angeles press release.
The event details, as outlined by the Internal Services Department of Los Angeles County, include a block party, celebrity army vs. navy basketball game, resource fair, food and games. Aiming to facilitate a fun and informative environment, the venue for the celebration is the iconic Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, located at 1816 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90015.
VETDAYLA'23 features support of "Delete The Divide," an organization focused on minimizing the digital divide by offering information on free online IT courses, internship programs, community broadband networks, and the Affordable Connectivity Program. This is a demonstration of the drive's intent to assist veterans in their transition to tech-based careers, and enabling them to remain connected in today's digital age, according to the Internal Services Department of Los Angeles County.
