
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) seeks public assistance in the case of a missing person, Ardis Geane Burns, also known by the nicknames "Scooter" and "Chico". The 43-year-old was last seen on the 4th, on the 1800 block of Kay Street in Compton, California, around 7:30 p.m. reveals deep concern from Burns' family and pleads with the public for any pertinent information as per LASD statement.
Burns is a 5'09" tall black male, weight 148 lbs, with brown braided hair and brown eyes. At the time he disappeared, he was notable for wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, a gold chain with a pharaoh pendant, and tattoos on both arms. The public plea from LASD serves as a broader reminder of the nationwide issue of missing persons, especially in communities of color.
