Yesterday, a significant fire broke out at a two-story garden-style apartment complex in Canoga Park, Los Angeles. As reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), flames were visible from the second floor of the building.
The blaze was extinguished within 21 minutes by the efficient response of the LAFD. A team of 32 firefighters aggressively contained and put out the fire, ensuring it did not spread to other areas of the building. The rapid and strategic response of the department greatly reduced the severity and impact of the incident.
However, damage was not avoided completely. Two top-floor apartments were fully consumed by the fire, leading to substantial losses. Further, a LAFD report confirmed that medical assistance was required for two individuals: a 63-year-old woman with minor injuries who was transported to a local hospital and a 33-year-old man evaluated on-site. No injuries were reported among the responders.
Currently, the source of the fire is still under investigation.
