Adding to Manor's woes, a gang of five juveniles hailing from Austin turned a gas station into their personal grab-and-dash store. The early hours of October 28 at the Texaco on Tillgang Pass were disrupted when the teens, after looting the store, zoomed off in a Hyundai that didn't belong to them. An eagle-eyed police officer spotted the vehicle, sparking a frantic high-speed chase that ended with the escape car abandoned and the treasure trove of Delta and nicotine vape cartridges found inside CBS Austin detailed.
Two of the four taken into custody for the initial car theft are staring down the barrel of auto theft charges.
From the ransacked Texaco, one juvenile didn't make the getaway—nabbed on the scene—while the others were eventually rounded up by the relentless Manor PD. The stolen Hyundai, harboring the contraband, had been freshly snatched from Austin.
