In Milpitas, the local police department remains vigilant, fulfilling its duties to the community. A Facebook post shared by the department last week provides an insightful look into their recent activities.
The post mentioned several cases, from arresting individuals for theft and drug possession to more serious cases involving felony warrants.
Last Thursday, a suspect was arrested for shoplifting at the 1300-Block of Great Mall Dr. The suspect, a 31-year-old from San Jose, also had an outstanding felony warrant for violating sexual offender registration.
On the same day, an aware citizen reported a suspicious person peering into vehicles on the 300 Block of Gates Dr. The quick officer response averted a potential crime.
The diligence police over the week posed no signs of diminishing. Instances included apprehending a heavily inebriated driver and another caught in possession of a stolen car linked to Santa Cruz. These incidents evidence the police's dedication to their duty and community safety, regardless of case scale.
A notable example of police perseverance is the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect from Oakland with a Texas robbery warrant. Initially identified for shoplifting, the officers retrieved all stolen goods promptly.
