Earlier this week, in the 200 block of Greenbank, a residential burglary occurred where large items such as tools, an oven, and a toilet were stolen. The local authorities used ALPR data to track down a Ford pickup involved in the crime as mentioned in a recent Facebook post of the Piedmont Police Department.

This led the authorities to an address in Oakland. The truck was located there alongside the stolen property, which was found outside the property. Two suspects returned to the scene during the investigation and were apprehended without resistance. One of the suspects, who had an outstanding warrant, was found in possession of several replica handguns and over 4 grams of methamphetamine.

The tireless work of the Dayshift Team and technology, such as ALPR cameras, resulted in justice being served. The stolen property was identified and returned to its owner.
