Adrian Scott Warren, a 46-year-old from San Antonio, recently pleaded guilty to one count of child sexual exploitation in federal court. The details of Warren's crimes call attention to troubling aspects of contemporary society.
As per a U.S. Department of Justice report on Wednesday, Warren has for years been sexually abusing a prepubescent minor and has been crudely discussing his plans to engage in sexual activity with another minor via a messaging app. He offered child pornography and attempted to arrange physical meet-ups through these online conversations.
Warren was arrested while trying to meet up on August 4, 2022. Instead of finding the child victim he expected, he found FBI agents waiting for him, who promptly seized him and his phone.
Once sentenced, Warren will face a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in prison.
