Yesterday, Desiree Baquero, a 24-year-old resident of San Mateo, California, was arrested following a robbery at a local Walgreens. Baquero, who allegedly stole items and assaulted an employee who tried to intervene, was apprehended near the store, according to the San Mateo Police Department.
After responding to a 911 call, officers used the employee's description to quickly locate Baquero. Upon their encounter, the police discovered the stolen merchandise in her possession.
A deeper investigation divulged the violent altercation with the employee, culminating in Baquero's arrest and booking into the San Mateo County Jail, reports the San Mateo Police Department.
