A tense scene unfolded in South Boston as officers slapped cuffs on a 14-year-old boy, discovering a loaded gun in his backpack at a local school. According to a report that emerged yesterday, school staffers, extracted the student from class and unearthed the firearm before things could turn deadly, as reported by the Boston Police Department.
The Boston Police Department reported the incident occurred at approximately 2:06 PM, when officers assigned to the School Police Unit, together with District C-6 officers, homed in on the school located at 215 Dorchester Street, being tipped off by vigilant school staff who contacted authorities after the disturbing find.
The juvenile, whose identity remains shielded due to his age, now faces serious charges including delinquency for unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and for carrying the loaded weapon on school grounds; it is expected he will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
