While the flame enveloped the boats, the people aboard managed to collectively evacuate, with all adults being swiftly rescued from the water, per KRON4. One involved individual was admitted to a hospital due to minor injuries.
After confirming the boats had been evacuated, the responding firefighters initiated efforts to suppress the fire while mitigating possible environmental contamination.
As of now, the source of the fire remains unidentified. According to Deputy Chief Matt Samson of the South San Francisco Fire Department, there currently isn't evidence to suggest that the incident was intentionally caused, as reported by NBC Bay Area.
