
In Arlington, a motorcyclist died Wednesday night after hitting an SUV on South State Highway 360 and being thrown from his bike, according to local authorities. The incident happened near Interstate 20 at approximately 8:45 p.m. as reported by the Star-Telegram.
Law enforcement suggests the motorcyclist was speeding before crashing into the SUV. The collision caused him to be ejected onto the road, afterward, the uncontrolled motorcycle collided with a tow truck. This complex crash scene drew onlookers and involved multiple drivers, causing significant disruption on the highway.
The Arlington Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit informed that excessive speed likely contributed to the fatal outcome. The drivers of the SUV and tow truck were interviewed by police and later released without charges. The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld until the family can be notified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, per WFAA.
